Global Work Party by 350.org

This campaign is very interesting. I found this while I surf around in YouthSays.com. I believe there is something that each of us as Malaysian can do for a better tomorrow. It is a combination of 'work' and 'party' at the same time but do it for the sake of minimizing Global Warming.

"It’s been a tough year: in North America, oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico; in Asia some of the highest temperatures ever recorded; in the Arctic, the fastest melting of sea ice ever seen; in Latin America, record rainfalls washing away whole mountainsides.

So we’re having a party. We’re calling it a Global Work Party, with emphasis on both 'work' and 'party'. In Auckland, New Zealand, they’re having a giant bike fix-up day, to get every bicycle in the city back on the road. In the Maldives, they’re putting up solar panels on the President’s office.

How about Malaysia?

Circle 10/10/10 on your calendar. That’s the date. The place is wherever you live. And the point is to do something that will help deal with global warming in your city or community. Support this campaign and start planning for your event now!"

I am thinking of something small that all Malaysian can do best. That is Use Recycle Shopping Bag when we do our groceries of shopping on 10/10/10. I have been using Recycle Shopping Bag for more than a month and I really feel good about it. Other giant supermarket in Malaysia do support this cause by having their own campaign: TESCO: Greener Living. Small thing can become big and give big impact if we all work together and make it happen. Start small and simple and tadaaaa..You did something for the good of us.

Play your part to stop climate change! Start using Recycle Shopping Bag on 10/10/10 and join the Global Work Party! If I can do it and so can YOU....
